And summer’s lease hath all too short a date…
Every year I mourn a little when the garden winds down and the seasonal fruits and vegetables fade away in the market. I really enjoyed the cherries this year.

This is what I’ll be missing…

But I can still have this. Thank you, Mexico.
It looks so fresh
Straight off the vines and still warm!
I had such a good time this summer, while in Germany, getting fresh produce every week from our neighbours’ farm shop. Well, “shop” is a bit of an overstatement – we’re talking cow shed with swiss chard, tomatoes, kohlrabi, cabbage, beetroot, cucumbers, potatoes, etc. stacked up in crates. The raspberries I had to pick myself. Delicious 🙂
Here in Spain it will soon be time for oranges 🙂
I have never tried kohlrabi–I need to fix that. Fresh raspberries—oooooooh. And oranges off the tree, that reminds me of Florida where I grew up. I think the oranges are being wiped out there now, by some fungal disease.
Yummy! And I love avocado!!
Thanks, me too!
