Barnard Griffin Winery, Italy, rosé, Sangiovese, Washington, wine
This rosé is a huge winner at a fabulous price ($12.00). If only I could find more beautifully made, inexpensive wines like this one from Barnard Griffin. The winery sits where three rivers come together in Washington state, the Yakima, the Snake and the Columbia. Beautiful country, beautiful wine.
This libation made from the Sangiovese grape (native to Italy and a favorite of the Romans) has a sweet strawberry nose, dry berry flavor in the mouth, and honey on the finish. Who could ask for anything more?

Wine and landscapes …. I’m gonna love your blog! Thanks for sharing your world and it is awesome to connect with you.
Thanks for following me! I can’t see a way to follow you on WP so I followed you on Twitter ; )
Sounds divine!
Yes, I found out after writing the post that it was highly recommended by Wine Spectator. Usually I don’t go by the expert opinions, but here I had to admit they were right!
I’m not one to read it much myself, at least not cover to cover. I prefer hearing about new wines and profiles on wineries – especially local ones. 🙂 But like you, I don’t actually delve into the pro notes and ratings too much either.
Now, with that said, wait until you see my next post. 🙂
I am waiting! Checked your site to be sure, but I don’t think it’s up yet.
