There’s definitely a beast in all of them. I found my Mully playing with a tiny dead bat he must have caught outside last night – and then I heard him munching. I didn’t even know we had bats – never saw one here before. But then, I think guano is a big industry in Mexico.
That’s what it looked like close up. So far, he’s gotten a huge insect, like a cicada, a hummingbird ( also sad) and the bat. And he has brought each one inside.
Yes, I remember being given a tiny bunny once, by my childhood cat. It was Baby Peter Rabbit! OMG. But we don’t let our cats go out these days. They’re quite happy to stay indoors and watch the bird feeders or play with birdies on a fishing pole đ
We used to have them when we lived in a house with shed and garden. And i was appalled the first time i saw them with the poor dead mouse. The fluffy cute thing could not be a horrible killer!! Ek! But they are. I am mostly ok with it now as long as i don’t witness them playing with their prey :-S I think the instinct is probably there, even in the most gentle of them đ
Well, he looks adorable in the first photo. On our previous trip to NZ our uncles adored, clever, object retrieving Tessa left a dead bird in one of my sisters suitcases as a little going away gift. Thank goodness we found it before we left for the airport that morning. Gag…laugh….horror….gag again.
Hahaha! A parting gift… that is hilarious. I once had a cat that would bring prey and set it under the dining room table, or even in his food bowl. I guess the ones under the table were for us.
Our Jerome is so bad that we keep him separate from the others. There’s a stack of baby gates between them, which he likes to jump on and cling to whilst threatening their destruction…
Cora is that menacing. She just likes to do a random chase a couple of times a day. She loves to lie in wait for when someone comes out of the litter box…
đ Ginger boy is called Effoh Ghatool which is Hebrew and means, “Where is the cat?”, we call him Effoh. Apt name for him as he was always out and about, especially when he was younger and we wondered where he was at.
We had a kitty living with us these past four months (my son’s girlfriend’s cat) and, try as I might not to, I fell in love with that little bastard. Now that she’s gone (moved back to university), I am actually considering a rescue/adoption. Never thought I’d say that. (Not being a cat person, and all. :-))
My female maine coon is sweet-natured especially just after she wakes, when she wants love/food/attention or is outside at play, and is a truly gorgeous cat. She is a terror to the male cat in the house who only wants to be friends.
Awww… I just what to stick my hand into that furry ball and tickle its belly đ

Little killers they are… but that just adds to their intrigue…
Oh, that’s so sad. I love bats. I suppose cats must catch them just as they do birds. I never thought of that before. Like a mouse on the wing!

Oh, a hummingbird! That would make me cry.
He wouldn’t mind. With people he is the sweetest widdle guy. But with our other three cats, he is Grendel.
He’s Da Boss đ
How would you like to get your hands on these…? http://www.buzzfeed.com/jarrylee/des-hommes-et-des-chatons?utm_term=.vbmlmzB3e#.jgAyYMzP4
LOL! I spent more time looking at the cats! I like this one too: http://thechive.com/2013/03/15/the-cast-of-game-of-thrones-and-their-cat-doppelgangers-18-photos/
looks so pretty and innocent and sweet.. until they bring the first mouse and lay it proudly at your feet ;-)))

Oh yes. They are pure carnivores and it is their nature to kill. Which is why mine stay indoors!!

My girl Coraline is like this. Sweet and loving and completely patient with me and Jon. And she absolutely torments her brothers!

Oh yes, the litter box ambush is a classic. That’s a bad one because the victims sometimes choose “alternative” potty locations…
Fortunately our boys haven’t done that, but I try to monitor carefully because of that.
Awww
So cute! And yes, I very much relate to this as it’s just like my black 1 year old kitty…
A one year old! I like black cats đ
She’s absolutely adorable and soft to touch and fun to play with but she’s also a little murdering monster! (https://bookesther.wordpress.com/2015/06/16/the-face-of-a-murderer/)
She’s beautiful. What’s the name of your ginger boy? I have a soft spot for ginger cats đ

Very sweet!
Oh, and Effoh is just the sweetest tempered cat, everyone in the neighborhood pets him and seems to be friends with almost all the cats as well!
Yes, that is the typical personality for ginger males. I’m not sure why, but they are often mellow and friendly.

We’ll convert you yet đ
Mr. Cute Boots! I love the name. All fur and fuzz and no furry. Why can’t they stay like that?
That’s what I call him for fun. But to paraphrase T.S. Eliot, the naming of cats is a serious matter. He usually goes by Jerome, but I suspect his secret name is BeyoncĂ©-the-Sea.

Aww! Maine coons have a reputation for being friendly, but maybe only to people!
Yes, she is generally very loving. Complains a lot and is a spoiled princess, but still rather sweet. She is just so gorgeous it hurts to look at her.
