Happy 61st birthday to Mr. Ciarán Hinds. I wrote this little ditty in hopes that the following roles (and favorite food/bev) will come his way in 2014.
May you tread the boards perpetually,
Well fortified with cups of Barry’s tea.
May Lear command the winter winds to blow,
Then drain a glass or two of old Bordeaux.
We wish you Nemo’s journey ’neath the sea,
And grappa with Francesco on Capri;
That Mrs. Muir may meet another Ghost
While you enjoy unlimited cheese on toast;
Let Ulster’s king appoint the Hound his ward,
And banish for all time the sandwich board.
Well that is lovely – both your video and the ditty. Such an amazing, wonderful face and talent. Makes me want to watch Persuasion again, but I’m heart broken – the disk is not in the case and I can’t find it.
Oh no! “Persuasion” withdrawal is serious! I would stave it off with a little Michael Farr from “The Eclipse” 😉
Many thanks. It’s difficult to express what a difference this man has made in my life. I’ll be forever grateful for the gift of his unique talent and personality.
Apt tribute indeed – well done.
Many thanks!
